    Brilliant update to a life-changing shirt

    We just received the redesigned, long sleeved LVAD shirt. It is amazing--no wonder Brent signed the tag on it. We want everyone at LVAD Gear to know how much the work Brent and colleagues have done on comfort for people with LVADs has meant to us for the last six years. Congratulations on being able to look past a shirt design that worked well to come up with one that works better.

    The HeartMate Men's Full Sleeves Shirt allows a place for all of the equipment; including the controller and both battery packs. They are balanced on the body and not as visible under a dress shirt. Good for exercising as well.

    LVAD HeartMate full sleeve shirt

    I like the full sleeves version shirt. I especially like the way to pass the batteries and control box from the bottom of the shirt up underneath left side. By having the main cable closer and more in line , there is less pulling on the cable. Most shirts require running the main cable under the bottom of the shirt which causes constant pulling down of the cable creating stress especially when bending and exercise. I have tried cutting the left side seam from bottom of shirt to the bottom of the pocket which take away the pulling but makes the shirt too loose. I also like being able to put the battery cables in the pockets. The zippers work well to hold the batteries in place. I have had the batteries fall out of the sleeveless shirts when bending or exercising. I rarely use anything but the various t-shirts and would like all the various shirts to work similar to the long sleeve version. I hope this is helpful.

    Works better than anything else I’ve tried. Battery pockets are a little tricky. I’m still looking but can’t find a short sleeve model of this.
