Apparel & Fit
Will the battery pockets tug on my LVAD shirt?
No. Pocket placement is designed to distribute weight evenly across the garment to help prevent pulling or sagging. Our spandex-blend fabrics are made to retain their shape during wear.
Can I wear an LVAD shirt all day?
Yes. The garments are designed for all-day comfort, and many customers report they barely notice the gear after a while.
Do LVAD shirts feel heavy with the batteries inside?
They’re engineered to carry and balance the load, which typically feels lighter than an external holster or shoulder bag. Stretch fabrics help dampen bounce while walking.
Best LVAD apparel for hot weather?
Tank tops (with mesh panels) and lightweight HeartMate-compatible shirts and shorts are breathable, quick-dry options suited for warm climates.
Do your flannels work in colder seasons?
Yes. Our flannel shirts are warm, layer-friendly, and include secure pocketing. The plaid pattern also helps reduce print-through of equipment outlines.
Are the pockets padded or lined?
It depends on the item:
- Shirts/Tanks: breathable pocket fabric that releases heat; slightly thicker material helps soften battery edges.
- Shorts: integrated pocketing with breathable panels.
- Cotton twill/mesh vests: generally, not lined or padded; designed for weight distribution via shoulder/elastic structures.

Is the fabric scratchy?
No. Most garments use soft polyester/spandex or nylon/spandex blends; some styles include cotton blends. Fabrics are chosen for softness, breathability, and stretch.
Do you offer plus sizes?

Do the shorts have the same pockets as the shirts?
Yes. Our LVAD shorts use the same integrated system for controller, batteries, and cord routing.
Is the belt adjustable?
Yes. Sleeping Belt Harnesses and Workout Belts are adjustable within the posted size ranges. Choose your size carefully; you can add custom pouches or use the Custom Builder for a tailored fit.
Are there wires hanging everywhere?
No. Designs include guided cable routing with durable hook-and-loop points to help prevent snags and keep cables discreet.
Will the controller overheat in the pocket?
Garments are designed with breathable fabrics and/or mesh channels to support airflow. Belts and bags include open or vented areas. Always follow your device manufacturer’s guidance to avoid obstructing ventilation.

How do I know if my controller will fit?
Our apparel is designed to fit common LVAD controllers. We have tested fit with HeartMate II, HeartMate 3, and HeartWare HVAD systems. For other VAD systems or special setups, contact Customer Support for guidance or a custom order.
Note: Compatibility can vary by configuration; confirm routing and access with your clinical team.
Do your vests support both batteries and the controller?
Yes. Denim (blue/black) and leather vest styles include secure pockets for both batteries and the controller, plus dedicated routing features.
Care Instructions
How do I wash my LVADGear?
Always remove the controller, batteries, and cables first. Close pocket fasteners before washing.
· Shirts/Tanks/Shorts: Cold water, gentle cycle. Do not use high heat; hang dry (heat degrades spandex).
· Denim Vests: Machine wash cold, gentle; hang dry; avoid bleach.
· Leather Vests: Do not machine wash. Wipe with a damp cloth; use leather conditioner as needed.
· Flannels: Machine wash cold, gentle; tumble dry low or hang dry.

Can I sleep in these clothes?
Yes. Many customers use our tanks and shorts as sleepwear due to their soft feel and reduced tangling. We also offer a Sleeping Belt for added stability.
Bags & Sets
What makes your bags different?
They’re designed with input from LVAD users and refined through field testing, focusing on comfort, load balance, cable management, and discreet carry. The goal: reduce perceived weight and end-of-day fatigue while improving concealment and access.
Do you offer matching gear sets?
Sometimes. Look for bundle offers, or use the Custom Builder to create coordinated pieces (shirts, belts, bags) to your preferences.
Orders
Why was I asked to verify my order?
Some orders are flagged for security. We may request:
· A valid photo ID that matches your billing address, and
· A photo of the payment card showing only the last four digits and your name.
We’ll hold your order for up to 48 hours while verifying; once verified, processing resumes immediately. Shared information is used only for fraud prevention.
Can I get a discount?

How does pre-order work?
Items marked “Pre-Order Available” are made to order and typically ship within 3–4 weeks. We’ll email tracking once the order ships.
How does custom ordering work?
Use the Custom Builder:
1. Choose a base style.
2. Customize options (e.g., fabric color, sleeve length, mesh front panel, V-neck, sizing to your measurements).
3. Approve details.
Production is typically 3–5 weeks; we ship when ready.
What if an item I want isn’t available?
You can:
1. Pre-order (usually 3–4 weeks), or
Use the Custom Builder to create a similar item now.
What if my multi-item order includes an out-of-stock item?
We’ll notify you and you can choose to:
· Ship the in-stock items now and backorder the rest,
· Switch to a similar in-stock item, or
· Pre-order the out-of-stock item.
I placed an order but there’s no payment method on file. What now?
For security reasons, some orders require payment by phone. Please call us to provide your details and we’ll process your order right away.
Why was my order canceled?
If we’re unable to confirm payment or shipping details after multiple attempts to contact you, we may cancel and restock. You’re welcome to reorder once details are resolved.
Shipping, Returns & Exchanges
When will my order ship?
Orders placed before 3:00 PM ET (Mon–Fri) typically ship the same business day. Orders placed after 3:00 PM ET usually ship the next business day. During peak periods or with special handling, please allow 1–3 business days for processing.
Where is my exchange or refund?
· Exchanges: Usually processed and shipped within 4–5 business days of receiving your return.
· Refunds: Typically issued within 5–7 business days after processing. Your bank may take 7–10 additional business days to post the credit. Keep your return tracking number.
How do I return or exchange an item?
1. We accept Exchange and Return Requests within 30 days of your original purchase. Please submit your request for a Return Authorization form via the link below!

2. After approval, ship the item back with the RA form inside (or write the RA number on the package if you can’t print).
For approved exchanges, we’ll ship the replacement after processing.
