This flannel vest is hands down one of the best things I’ve picked up since getting my LVAD. I didn’t think something as simple as a vest could make such a difference, but this one totally does.
First off, it looks like a normal vest you'd wear on any day—so no awkward stares or feeling like you're wearing "medical gear." It’s got that rugged flannel look, but inside, it's all function. The pockets are super well-placed for the batteries and controller. Everything feels secure but still easy to get to when you need it.
The fabric’s soft, not too heavy, and surprisingly warm without being bulky. It doesn’t ride up, and I don’t feel like I’m constantly adjusting stuff like I did with a regular jacket or hoodie. I’ve worn it out running errands, walking the dog, and even to a family BBQ—nobody noticed it was an LVAD vest until I pointed it out.
